Honed concrete

Concrete ground back to show the sand and stone in it, with a smooth, matt finish.

Honed concrete is ground back with diamond tools to show the sand and stone inside the slab, then finished smooth and matt. It stops short of a polish, so it keeps a fine texture rather than a shine.

It is a common finish outdoors, on courtyards, paths, entries and alfresco areas. How much stone shows depends on how deep the grinding goes, and on the stone in the concrete.

Grinding shows what is in the slab, cracks and patches included, so we look at the concrete before recommending anything. We hone concrete from Brisbane through to the Sunshine Coast.

Send an enquiry saying where it is and roughly how big it is, and we give you a Quote once we've seen the concrete.
