Measuring up

How to measure

  1. 01

    Measure the length and width of each area in metres. The driveway and the front path are two areas, so add each one separately.

  2. 02

    Have a site plan? Read the square metres straight off it instead.

  3. 03

    Split an L-shaped or odd-shaped area into rectangles, and add each rectangle as its own area.

  4. 04

    A tape measure works, and so does a measuring app on your phone.
